Liked your comment about writing things in new ways. I've read most everything written by Alan Watts, the old zen/tao writer and teacher from the beat era. Even wrote a couple of papers on his work back in grad school. I noticed often that he would repeat many things in different contexts. If I were Brian Clark, I would call it repurposing!

I was in a band in college and I remember we would work on a song for months at a time and then perform it to an audience who looked baffled. The thing is, it was a challenging piece for the band and we loved it, but it was kind of over the heads of the audience who just wanted to go out and hear typical Saturday night music. We course-corrected and played more typical stuff and the audience jumped right in. I guess that would be another point about keeping it relevant to the audience. Great post.

A splendid blog entry with plenty of good advice.

I guess most bloggers have this problem. A new reader dives right into the "story". While regular readers look upon it otherwise.

I'll keep this in mind. Thank you for sharing.
